I bought NCAA Football 2010 3 days after it came out which was about 3 weeks ago from GameStop. Yesterday, my cousin was hooking up my Xbox 360 and had the game inside, he hooked up the power and picked up the Xbox to plug in my ethernet cord for Xbox Live. As he picked it up the Xbox made a loud grinding noise. We turned off the Xbox and took the disc out to find a large circular scratch around the outside portion of the disc. Everytime we try to play the game we get the Disc Unreadable message. I've tried playing a different game on the 360 and they all work. So it has to be the disc.

Can I get my money back or a replacement from GameStop? Do I need my receipt? Is there some kind of different story I can tell them to make it more possible to get a refund? Best Answer: Gamestop should offer you a disc protection plan when you buy a game.

It's three dollars, and you can replace it for a new one for pretty much any reason. Aside from that, you're boned.

Once you open it, you can only trade the game in for store credit. They can take it, but you'll get significantly less as they will charge you to refurbish it. Working at GameStop, I see that kind of problem come in all the time. There's nothing that can be done to help you aside from you buying a disc doctor. It's a motorized machine that re-surfaces your disc and SOMETIMES makes it work again.
