An Archer Surround Sound AmplifierNo.15-1279Little info. Is available online.I have seen specs for something like 5W/ch, so it needs efficient speakers, esp.
With front and rear sets.I suspect it is less.It is only OK-ish in sound.I don't know if that's nature of the design or simply age taking it toll.I have done nothing to it other than plug it in.I like the thing better with Stereo Synthesized in the IN position.Mostly it sits in the 'pile o' too many stereos' in the corner. At least it has good company. Most Realistic fans know that a majority of gear from the mid-70's through the early 80's came with stickers stating that they were wrapped in 'REAL WALNUT VENEER'. The stickers for most gear have been removed over the years, but I just came across a very clean example. So I decided to take a photo of it and had new stickers printed for my other gear. I did a little research and couldn't find any copyright or trademark associated with the design.A few examples of the new stickers. They came out a little darker than the original, but they're a reasonable facsimile. Funny, I never really thought much of Radio Shack stuff back in the day.

I have a few pieces now and have to say I like them all. Here's a 65wpc STA-870 receiver I recently picked up. Sounds pretty good and has a good tuner.I also have a Miracord 40A custom made for Realistic. This Lab440 was my first real table. Got it for $20 and it's been a great table.I'm a sucker for their small amps too. This RCA SA-150 is being used as a phono preamp now.I have a small receiver hooked up to some Minimus 1 speakers upstairs, too lazy to run up there for pics.
